This is our 'made to order only' lined sack coat it is made from a medium weight blue wool serge with a distinct green tinge to it, (as described by many soldiers in their letters home) we fit to it a dark tan coloured wool flannel lining, it is of a three piece body construction, it has a narrower taper to the facing stitching at front of jacket. Lining is three-quarter length and left raw as per originals, all the seams are flat felled, the button holes are finished by hand in the proper manner in black cotton buttonhole thread. The sleeve lining is in calico (called muslin in the USA). Buttons are standard medium sized general service buttons. You can choose the colour of topstitching of the jacket from either black, brown or dark blue
